Lodge Bed and Breakfast Access Statement

Introduction
We are a four-bedroom bed and breakfast establishment and aim to cater
for the needs of all our guests to make for a very enjoyable and relaxing
stay with us. Please take time to read our statement.
Pre-arrival
Local transport will bring you to the nearby village of Wool, either
by bus or train. The village is approx 1.25 miles from us. We can
arrange to pick our guests up from Wool or arrange a taxi as there
are no buses which travel along Bindon Lane where we are situated.
Breakfast menus will be provided before arrival so we can cater for
most dietary requirements when informed in advance of stay. We have
an informative website and can be contact via the telephone number
or e-mail address above.
On
arrival
Our property is situated in Bindon Lane which is the first turning
on the left past Wool railway station; it is signposted at the top
of the lane. We are on the right hand side of the lane with large
double gates.
We have a large level tarmac drive and parking is practically outside
the front door (width 83cms) there is ample room for each guest. There
is a small 5inch step into the front door, and we can assist you with
any luggage.
Entrance
and reception areas
Through our front door is the reception area which is a large carpeted
hallway with a reception desk, and local information.
Dining
room
Ground floor next to front door. We have a very large and sunny fully
carpeted dining room which looks
out onto the front garden, where your breakfast will be served. We
have four separate dining tables and a separate seating area which
consists of leather chairs and a table for you to relax in to read
books or papers at any time during your stay. There
is no television in the dining room but a background radio is available
if required. We
also have a range of complimentary
D.V.D's for you to borrow to watch in your own
room during your stay.
Bedrooms
All rooms fully carpeted and contain beverage trays. All rooms
are en-suite
with complimentary toiletries and all bathroom
towels are supplied. There are two rooms on the ground
floor and 2 on the first floor.
Bedroom
1 is a double bedded room with separate
bathroom and large walk in shower 6inch step up to (door opening inwards
75cm wide). This room overlooks the side garden (not suitable for
wheelchairs).
Bedroom 2 next door is a twin bedded room with
separate bathroom containing a walk in shower. This again looks out
to a back private garden area. These beds can be put next to each
other if needed (doors 75cm wide opening inwards).
Upstairs
are our two family rooms which lead from the staircase inside the
hallway there is a right hand side handrail and one flight of open
carpeted
tread stairs.
Bedroom 3 (door width 75cm opening inwards) contains a king-sized
bed and a 3ft single bed.
There is also a very comfy sofa bed and luggage area, the room sleeps
2 adults and two children.
There is a large bathroom with good size bath and power shower over
the bath. (door width 75cm opening inwards). The room contains fully
fitted wardrobes and leather armchair.
Bedroom
4 is
opposite Bedroom 3 which has a king-size bed
and two single Childs 2ft 6inch beds. There is also a sofa which converts
to another sleeping space. Plus a leather armchair and fully fitted
wardrobes. This room sleeps 2 adults and 2-3 children. The bathroom
is again of good size with a large walk in shower with 9inch step
up into. Complimentary toiletries are in each room and all bathroom
towels are supplied.
Grounds and Gardens
We have a large level garden all laid to lawn with seating areas with
umbrellas for our guests use. The use of ashtrays are available for
our smoking guests to use in the gardens.
There is a small site shop opposite the car park which sells ice creams/cold
drinks etc.
Additional information
• We have wireless internet access for our guests free of charge
and all rooms have freeview TV with an integrated D.V.D player.
• Alarms clocks with iPod connection are in all rooms, but we
can provide a personal awake call if requested.
• Assistance dogs are welcomed.
• There is a no smoking policy in all rooms of the house.
• Any medication needed to be stored in fridge we will accept.
• We do have two highchairs and some children’s games
in the dining room.
• We have no public telephone but guests can use the house phone
if needed.
• In need of evacuation we will alert all guests personally
if needed.
• The exit is via the main front door and a fire assembly point
is opposite the house in the car park. (signposted)
• The village of Wool has two public houses which serve food
and a few shops to include a chemists, small supermarket, bakers,
hairdressers a doctors surgery.
